COACHING
Just a few examples of why managers are coached; they seek support for various themes such as effective communication, styles of management, dealing with conflicts, finding balance between work and private life, learning to set limits and recognizing pitfalls
As indicated, a coach is called in if you have a problem or issue that you can not solve.
Coaching is thus in fact a form of guidance and it is characteristic that the coach is selected by the coachee himself. The coach has a guidance (additional) role and is not responsible for the decisions taken by the coachee. In this way the goals can then be realized.
Depending on the circumstances and the problem, an appropriate form of coaching can be applied; at ITP we work with 4 coaching methods; on-boarding, talent, business and executive coaching.
ON-BOARDING COACHING
Focused on the individual with the aim of support during the integration process.
The on-boarding coaching starts where the executive search process ends and focuses on a successful and ‘soft’ landing of a candidate in the organization. Attention to a good start contributes to a candidate’s ability to deliver a meaningful impact more quickly, to feel and share an organization and culture.
A good start means a greater chance of successful cooperation in both the short and the long term. We keep in touch to evaluate the first experiences of the placed candidate in his or her new working environment. Through our Onboarding Coaching we stay connected and ensure that your newest acquisition makes a flying start.
Via Onboarding Coaching we have three active contact moments: in month two, month four and month six. We offer active support in this process and help to identify and solve any problems in advance.
TALENT COACHING
Focused on giving realistic insight into qualities, role and position by developing insights.
Talent coaching is often seen as the way of coaching. Talent coaching aims to guide you in your personal development. A personal development plan will be drawn up, so that you can decide for yourself where you want to stand for a given period of time in your life.
When you have questions about your own functioning at work. With this coaching you will be fathomed to find out what your personal qualities and ensuing pitfalls. From these core qualities and awareness of your pitfalls will be determined how your talent can be turned into personal successes.
The awareness of your core qualities and pitfalls is essential when planning your personal development, a process in which the talent coach will play a key role.
BUSINESS COACHING
Focused on coaching teams or individuals within specific work areas on a project or structural basis.
If you have difficulty setting a measurable goal and achieving these goals, you can approach a business coach. A business coach supports you in sharpening the daily short-term objectives, but above all will be a support in determining and maintaining the long-term objectives.
The coach guides you through the process of: setting goals to realizing them, this is done concretely and purposefully. In addition, business coaching can be used at team meetings where innovation plays a central role
EXECUTIVE COACHING
Aimed at strengthening professional leadership with the aim of improving personal and organizational objectives. This form is mainly aimed at managers at C-level. Managers with a span-of-control, a lot of responsibility and many challenges. A role where it is a challenge to reflect.
Managers at this level usually opt for an (independent) executive coach. An external coach where you can freely discuss your problems, highlight things and determine your personal market value.
SUCCESS OF COACHING
The success of a coach is very personal. A personal connection with the coach is primary. A coach will have to be easy to handle, be able to reflect and therefore be able to refer you to the absence of a connection.
Furthermore, a coach will have to be able to listen well, to help and support in finding solutions. A coach may not suggest something. The strategy is, by asking the right questions and by forcing the person, to think about certain things, to work towards a certain solution.
It is crucial for the acceptance of the solution that the person involved comes with the solutions and analyzes. A coach who can manage and understands this game, will be very successful!
A good coach ensures that his players see what they can, instead of what they are.
